Lee is the Managing Director of Vermillion Films, a commercials and corporate film production company that makes films for the evolving Internet. Vermillion is a member of the Advertising Producers Association and recent output includes films shot on four continents for global brands such as Chivas, Polar, Massey Ferguson, Jaguar Landrover Team Sky and the England Cricket Team. As well as being MD and directing projects he has developed video strategies for a number of global brands, speaks at universities and industry events, is a non-exec for Birmingham Leadership Foundation.
Following a career in the army including operational tours of Bosnia, Kosovo and Afghanistan he completed a Film Studies degree at Warwick as a mature student and worked at director level in two corporate film companies before starting Vermillion in 2011.
Outside of work Lee is mentor on several technology entrepreneurship programmes, is a non-executive director of, and leads the strategy steering group for Birmingham Leadership Foundation and is a member of the Digital Working Group at Birmingham Science City.
When not being a high level nerd he's a keen snowboarder, qualified BSAC & PADI SCUBA diver, plays squash and golf and is currently training for the 2014 Marathon Des Sables, a 156 miles endurance foot race across the Sahara desert.
