Before co-founding Flumotion, Thomas helped start a college radio and pioneered online streaming in Belgium, then went on to manage the technical deployment of one of the two first commercial radio stations in Belgium.  He is an active contributor and respected figure in open source communities such as GNOME desktop, GStreamer and the Fedora distribution.

He created Flumotion as a Free Software project, combining the power of Python, Twisted and GStreamer.. As Flumotion’s CTO, Thomas leads a team of world class developers who ensure Flumotion is the easiest and most powerful streaming solution for open video, putting Flumotion at the forefront of open standards on the web.
