Free Roku HD with Streaming Media East Gold and Platinum Passes
Online registration has opened for the Streaming Media East conference, which will take place May 9 to 11 at the Hilton New York. Streaming Media East is the largest annual gathering of online video professionals in North America. Last year, more than 3,200 people attended the conference. This year, registrants for a platinum or gold pass will receive a free Roku HD.
Streaming Media East 2011 will include four conference tracks covering the online video landscape. New for 2011 is a track devoted to HTML5 video.
"The idea to have a whole track dedicated to the topic was because so many people have so many questions about HTML5," says Dan Rayburn, executive vice president at StreamingMedia.com. "It seems like a natural fit."
The HTML5 video track will run the full two days of the conference and will offer eight or nine sessions. Topics will include encoding to HTML5, encoding for Apple iOS devices, advertising and HTML5, how-to build an HTML5 player, and HTML5 standards. This fourth track will be available to conference attendees of Streaming Media East at no extra cost.
The Content Delivery Summit will once again take place the day before Streaming Media East, on May 9. This one-day event brings together customers, vendors, analysts, and Wall Street insiders to discuss where the content delivery industry is headed. Attendees can register for the stand-alone event separately, or together with Streaming Media East as part of a Platinum Pass package.
Streaming Media East, which has sold out in recent years, will include many leading companies in online video. Exhibitors that have already signed-on include Accordent, Dolby, EdgeCast, Ignite, Kaltura, and Level 3.
