Streaming Forum 2016: Call For Speakers Now Open

Streaming Forum will return to London in 2016 as part of London Entertainment Week, which was recently announced by BVE. Streaming Forum will be co-located with BVE at ExCel London on 24 & 24 February, and will emphasize live event and live linear streaming. We're now looking for streaming experts to speak on the programme; if you're interested, visit our speaking proposal submission page.

The partnership with BVE, the leading event for the UK broadcast sector, highlights just how central streaming now is to broadcast and other traditional media. The 2016 Streaming Forum comes at time when OTT delivery is crucial to broadcasters' and online-only services' efforts to reach customers on multiple devices, while at the same time the broadcast sector moves toward IP and the cloud behind the scenes.

Whether you’re streaming one-time entertainment, news, sports or gaming events, or delivering recurring live content, we’ve got you covered. While other events focus on event video production, Streaming Forum 2016 will take it to the next level, covering the technologies and strategies required to take that video and deliver it to viewers watching on computers, tablets, mobile phones, set-top boxes and smart TVs.

Topics covered will include the following:

  • Best practices for backhaul, transmission, and ingest—satellite, fibre, cellular and more

  • Encoding and transcoding—on-prem, cloud, and hybrid

  • Management—media servers, metadata, content protection, stream stitching and preparation for syndication and post-event VOD viewing

  • User experience—video player features, clip sharing and social media integration

  • Monetisation—advertising, subscription and pay-per-view

  • The future of live streaming

  • Case studies from leading content owners

Streaming Forum 2016 is the only event to address the highest-level issues and opportunities related to live streaming. This is a must-attend show for technical and business decision makers whose jobs depend on delivering successful large-scale live events and live linear channels online.
