BBC and ComScore Strike Large-Scale Deal for Digital Analytics
The digital measurement specialist ComScore has scored a major win with a new client. ComScore announced today that the BBC has selected it as the analytics source for all BBC digital content. The deal covers all video, web, and mobile content for both domestic and global services.
The BBC will use ComScore's Digital Analytix service, which offers real-time views on all platforms, as well as analysis, audience segmentation, and advanced reporting features.
“In an increasingly fragmented digital media environment, Digital Analytix provides the ability to understand the entire user experience across different consumer devices at a granular level," says Mike Read, senior vice president and managing director for ComScore in the U.K. "Through a streamlined analytics platform, ComScore helps organizations take action on data insights and improve the end-user experience."
While already a major player in the field, ComScore recognizes the value of a major customer like the BBC.
“To be selected by the BBC underscores ComScore’s expertise in delivering advanced technical solutions that help leading global brands maximize the full value of their digital assets," Read adds.
Last month, ComScore issued a white paper showing that TV viewing habits are shifting to online viewing, and young adults are leading the way.
