Blinkx Gains 500,000 Clips with Internet Video Archive Partnership
Video search engine Blinkx now offers a lot more videos for searching. It announced a partnership with Internet Video Archive that makes IVA's library of videos fully searchable by Blinkx users. IVA is an aggregator of movie and television trailers, game previews, and music videos for the entertainment industry.
The IVA library includes over 500,000 videos from over 1,000 sources. Contributing movie studios include Warner Bros, Paramount, and MGM. Game publishers include Nintendo, Capcom, and Namco.
Internet Video Archive is known as a leading source of entertainment video samples. The company runs two consumer sites: videodetective.com and singingfool.com.
In all, Blinkx has indexed more than 35 million hours of video and audio content.
