Thomson Video Networks has announced that its ViBE VS7000 multiscreen video platform has been tested and certified for use with Anevia’s ViaMotion system for catch-up TV, over-the-top video streaming and on-demand content delivery.

The ViBE VS7000 OTT encoder uses a multi-profile encoding technology to stream video content to various devices including smartphones, tablets, PCs, set-top boxes, and IP-connected TVs.

“This integrated OTT solution combines the ViBE VS7000's video transcoding along with multi-screen packaging and streaming through ViaMotion,” said Damien Lucas, VP of sales and product marketing, Anevia. “We are pleased to partner with Thomson Video Networks to provide our joint customers with an interoperable and integrated solution for delivering high-quality content through both live and VOD access.”

Earlier this year Thomson gave the platform new features including support for the MPEG DASH format alongside MPEG transport stream, Flash, HTTP Live Streaming, and Smooth Streaming. The ViBE VS7000 handles multiple output formats per channel, with video resolution up to 1920x1080 in progressive and interlaced modes.
