YuMe Gets on Board with HTML5 Advertising
Content publishers have one more option for creating revenue from HTML5 video streams. YuMe, a video advertising company based in Redwood City, California, now lets publishers serve ads to HTML5-compatible devices, such as the Apple iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. Publishers will need to equip their HTML5 players with YuMe's ACE video advertising platform technology, and then they'll be able to serve ads from YuMe's video ad network and control their ads with the ACE Ad Management System. YuMe currently serves ads on 1 billion streams per month.
To enable YuMe advertising, publishers will need to download the company's HTML5 plug-in, and integrate it with their HTML5 player. After that, they'll be ready to deliver pre-roll, mid-roll, and post-roll ads with their videos.
The ACE Ad Management System is a set of cloud-based ad operations tools that publishers can use to manage their syndication partners, serve to different devices, and manage multiple ad sources.
"YuMe is committed to helping publishers monetize their video content on every possible viewing device, including mobile," says Jayant Kadambi, co-founder and president of YuMe. "We are thrilled to announce that publishers choosing to distribute content through HTML5 players will have the option to immediately monetize their video streams with ACE."
