Video measurement company comScore is expanding its reach into Central and South America with the launch of comScore Video Metrix in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, and Spain. This means comScore's video measurement services are now available in 16 individual markets.

For those interested in online video in those countries, there's still time to get into comScore's free webinar, "How Latin America Is Shaping Online Video's Global Growth," which takes place today from 2PM to 3PM eastern time.

Online video is a hot property in the five expansion countries. comScore says that in each market, roughly 85 percent of home and work Internet users watched some online video in October. The largest audience was in Brazil, where 33.3 million unique viewers watched a total of 2.9 billion videos. Following that is Spain, where an audience of 17.9 million viewers watched 2.8 billion videos. Spanish viewers were the most engaged, averaging 17 hours of online video per viewer in October.

"Online video viewing has become an essential part of the digital consumer experience in every corner of the globe," says Alejandro Fosk, comScore's senior vice president for Latin America."comScore Video Metrix offers publishers, advertisers and their agencies competitive intelligence into the online video viewing marketplace, providing important audience insights such as unique viewers, videos delivered and viewer engagement."

comScore says it will expand into additional countries in the near future.
