Online Video Strategies Preview: A Video Conference Like no Other
Online Video Strategies is a video conference like no other. There are multiple events addressing the content delivery market, IPTV, mobile video, and other angles—including, of course, our own main event, Streaming Media Europe—but Online Video Strategies is the only event aimed squarely at the ever-growing number of organisations for whom video is now a central part of their communications strategy, but for whom video is in no way their core business.
As such, it’s filled not with blue sky pondering nor awash in “inside the video industry” debates. Rather, it’s designed to give attendees the knowledge and tools they need to start or improve their strategy as soon as they leave the event—even if they’re not video experts when they walk in the door.
We start with Jules Watkins, a longtime reality TV producer and the founder of Pocket Video Power, presenting a session called “How To Make Online Videos That Don’t Suck—Without Breaking the Bank.” He’ll outline key strategies for creating effective video, from choosing equipment and a service vendor to honing your storytelling skills to make genuine, high-quality videos that set your business apart from the rest.
Next, we pull back the camera to a wider focus to talk about “Building a Successful Online Video Strategy” in a panel presented by speakers from Kinura Web Video (a webcasting and video hosting provider that’s worked with Tate, Coca-Cola, and bmi, among many others), ST16 (a video production agency that’s done work for Marston’s Pubs, Fujitsu, and the NHS), and AutoTrader, which is just now forging its online video strategy and will share its experiences from the trenches.
The “How-To Guide for Online Video Marketing” will do exactly what it says on the tin; VBrick’s John Shaw and Aviva World’s Ismayeel Syed will explore the opportunities that video affords marketers on both corporate and social platforms. But it’s not just marketers who’ll benefit—Shaw and Syed will share tips and tricks to help anyone create effective video communications that draw viewers and keep them.
The next session focuses on “Delivering Your Video Where Your Audience Wants It,” whether that’s on iPads, Android-based phones, or any other type of tablet or smartphone. This panel, featuring speakers from Red Bee Media, Streaming Tank, Groovy Gecko, and more, will bring you up-to-speed on the latest developments in HTML5, Adobe Flash Mobile, and other video standards.
“If You Publish It, Will They Come?” closes the day. This deep dive into the art and science of getting your videos seen via search engine optimization, social media, and other strategies will get your video in front of your customers and viewers.
Like last year, this year’s Online Video Strategies promises to be a day full of practical, tangible information that you can put to use right away.
