Haivision to Showcase Mission-Critical Video Solutions at Northern Strike, One of the Country’s Largest Joint Military Readiness Exercises

Haivision’s ISR, video distribution, and video wall solutions provide essential visual intelligence to Joint Operations Center

Montreal, Canada(25 Jul 2023)

Haivision (TSX: HAI), a leading global provider of mission-critical, real-time video networking and visual collaboration solutions, today announced that US and foreign militaries participating in the upcoming Northern Strike Exercise will leverage Haivision mission-critical video solutions, providing real-time situational awareness for one of the largest military readiness exercises in the United States.

Northern Strike, which takes place from July 31 through August 11, is an annual military readiness training operation held at Michigan National Guard facilities and sponsored by the National Guard Bureau. For over a decade, Northern Strike has been building readiness and improving interoperability with global allied forces through a series of scalable and tailored combat-ready training operations.

Haivision’s support for this exercise includes distribution of MQ-9 Reaper full motion video (FMV) to ground units using the Kraken ISR transcoder and Haivision Media Platform. This capability will capture live intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) video for real-time review, recording, and analysis. Haivision also plans to deploy their ruggedized expeditionary video wall system Stryke Lightning in a Joint Operation Center (JOC) at Camp Grayling, Michigan. This portable video wall will provide mission commanders situational awareness of battlefield data, communication, and intelligence.

Haivision’s Kraken transcoder for ISR, situational awareness, and field monitoring applications optimizes video streams over available bandwidth and ensures downstream interoperability. Haivision Media Platform is the only standards-based IP video distribution system on the DoDIN APL, and is relied on by U.S. federal government agencies, including all branches of the Department of Defense. As part of the Haivision Command 360 family of video wall solutions for operation and command centers, the Stryke Lightning is designed for fast setup and flexibility and provides a complete, portable video wall system ideal for mobile scenarios in mission operations.

Haivision solutions help government and defense organizations make informed decisions faster by supporting situational awareness of critical visual operations for government, military, aerospace, and public safety applications. Deployed worldwide, Haivision’s products adhere to strict government and industry standards to ensure security, reliability, and interoperability in mission-critical environments.
