Squadeo’s Scrambling Technology Protects HD Content on any Mobile

Squadeo’s VideoShield enhanced with Verimatrix’s ViewRight Web and VideoMark, provides ultimate security for video streaming of HD assets to mobile devices

HD deployment on open platforms (such as Android) requires multi-layered protection schemes, including strong DRM, a secured video path and watermarking. Current anti-rooting technics have not proven to effectively protect the most valuable content assets.

To address this issue for operators that want to stream premium OTT content, Squadeo has integrated its OTT video player, QuickPlayer, with the Verimatrix ViewRight® Web client security. VideoShield is designed to enable a complete secure video path on devices running on open operating systems like Android. It also prevents modifications of Android OS to dump premium content during playback.
